The Gated Community Security Managers Association is committed to delivering cost effective training specifically designed for gated communities. Your officers and gated community will benefit from the Expert-Lead Training. Our instructors currently serve as administrators in gated communities and bring years of experience with expert instruction. Our courses are written by Directors of Security from some of the most prestigious gated communities around the country.

The Gated Community Security Managers Association recognizes that education and training of security personnel is the foundation to building a quality security department and outside of the required state security licensing, there is no further quality training afforded to front line security professionals. In 2012, the GCSMA formed a Training Counsel for the purpose of developing training programs for security officers that went beyond the basic state required mandates. Our initial focus was on front line personnel who received the least, but deserved the most training.

The Training Counsel with the help of our members developed a certification program for security officers entitled “Certified Gated Community Specialist“. This comprehensive training program covered 5 key areas of training which are outlined in the Tri-fold below. In just two years over 250 security personnel have attended classes, with many receiving their Certified Gated Community Specialist recognition. In furtherance of the established “CGCS” Program, the GCSMA Training Counsel was asked to develop training for supervisors and managers. Our goal was to design a program that met the needs of each level of leadership, starting with front line supervisors to our directors.

LEADERSHIP CLASSES
Two basic leadership programs that were modeled after law enforcement were developed; First Line Supervision which are outlined in the pdf’s below. Additionally, a motivational leadership program entitled Essentials of Leadership & Personal Growth was also developed by one of our members that has been recognized as a “must attend” program for all levels of leadership.

ARMED INTRUSION (ACTIVE SHOOTER) CLASS
We also offer a 4 hour Armed Intrusion (Active Shooter) class that could make a difference in the outcome on how your security department and other employees respond to this emergency.

FIRST AID, CPR, AED & BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS) CLASSES FOR HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS
